Yes it is a windy day here in New Mexico. I thought I would take a picture of it in between the gusts. I can't even stand outside when it is gusty. Yes I know I am a mere 115 lbs but it is seriously blowing hard enough to blow an elephant over at this point. I am beginning to get use to the wind. Other than the fact that we can't be outside and everything seems to blow away. Plus the fact that everything is covered with this lovely alkali dirt, it really isn't that bad. We have a house that God has given us that keeps us from being blown to Elida, NM... I have decided that I am not going to dwell on this God given weather. God obviously thinks we need it so I am going to sit back and try to enjoy it. I have a ton of things to do inside anyways... So onward we go through this lovely God given windy day. When I have time I am going to blog on the kids room. Before and after pictures. I am not that proud because I didn't do away with a lot of things that I should have. But at least we can walk through there now. I hope everyone has a great weekend. Wind or no wind.... God Bless..
Wow! Lots of wind! You can even see the swing swinging because its so windy! I love seeing the pictures of your desert--do a blog sometime of the desert around you--I'd love to see how it's different than AZ--
ReplyDeleteand congrats on getting rid of the toys! As for the few stragglers that were hard to part with you can always do the, "If I find this toy lying on the ground again it's going in the trash!" and then really do it :) or next birthday or Christmas or whenever they get a new toy--they have to give one away--like if they get 10 new toys at Christmas they have to give away 10 old toys--keeps the toy mess down and also teaches them the importance of giving! In our house I decided that Jesus only got 3 gifts so my kids are only going to get 3 (or less!) too! Not that we really have the money to go nuts at Christmas and birthdays anyway! My 3 year old didn't get anything from us last Saturday on her birthday and she didn't care--the grandmas and grandpas OVERdid it! After getting rid of all of those toys they COMPLETELY replenished the stock! :) God bless! Love, your sister in Christ, Pauline
